♈ AA: Morning; Action at 626 Topper Street

[Aradia is sitting at the dining table, eating food. Her hair is done in two long pigtails. She just really has a lot of hair, and maybe this was not a good idea. But Dave said she should wear her hair up like so! And the drone mom seemed more then happy to tie her hair up for school.

She's munching on some toast, swinging her head side to side a bit in a distracted manner.

Her clothes...are less fortunate. Her socks are mismatched so she's wearing a red sock and a black one. On top of that, she's wearing her Aries shirt along with what looks to be a flower patterned skirt. The flowers are a bunch of gaudy colors. The scrunchies in her hair are bright orange and purple.

She looks terrible, and she doesn't even realize it as she eats her toast and hurries to school. Really, she just wanted to wear the black skirt, but the drone mom insisted on this one.]

♈ AA: Afternoon; Action at School

[Guess who's having a ball at the new school setting? Aradia is. And lunchtime, oh boy! But where should she sit? Does it matter which sitting device she should take?

Perhaps she's sitting by you now, with her little paper lunchbag from home. Perhaps she's walking by you in her terrible array of clothes and hairstyle.

Or maybe she's saying hi to you because you've caught her eye. That is, if her large pigtails haven't hit you in said eye. There's quite a bit of hair on her and pigtails aren't really something she's used to.]

Oh hello! You don't mind if I sit next to you? This is really my first day, and I don't know if there's any specific way of doing this all.

♈ AA: Evening; Phone

School was very interesting! I didn't realize that everyone got together to learn like that. Do older people not attend school? I only saw others around my age and anyone much older seemed to be instructing us instead of learning like us.

I think i will check the book facility for knowledge next time I attend school. Perhaps I can understand more about how the school system works.

There's university for students once they've graduated their basic schooling in my world, but that doesn't seem to exist here.

Aradia, colors do not possess emotions and cannot feel vulnerable or unused. More to the point, certain colors should never be worn together for the benefit of everybody's ocular stalks because really, they clash terribly.

You greatly resemble troll Pippi Longstocking at the moment and I do not mean that as a compliment, but rather a stern albeit affectionate and hopefully constructive critique.

Let's see... a sandwich, with some sort of sliced meet and cheese on it... I'm not certain what kind of juice this is, but it has a picture of an apple, so it seems a safe assumption... It seems to be a nutritionally complete lunch!

Yeah it's pretty much the only medium through which I can fully express my soul. Also there's pretty much no way to make finger painting not look shitty. But yeah I guess word of mouth about my comics is pretty widespread, even aliens stuck on an asteroid are hearin about 'em. Dunno what to think of that. [ shrug ] You'd think they'd find stuff like that weird but nah they won't bat an eyelash. You could show up to school as a tentacled horror terror and no one would look twice. The drones anyway. Everyone else would probably run the fuck away.

Yes, public schooling like this is still fairly new in my house. It was either reserved for the very wealthy, or you had a tutor.

I don't have a mom. Parental units are new to me. They're kind of like the lusus we had, but it's not quite the same either.

We never had that either. We were raised to be able to survive, but we kind of did what we want along with taking care of our lusus.

[Lyn is just...kind of staring bemusedly at Aradia's fashion choices. He doesn't give much of a shit about fashion himself, but he knows enough to recognize when someone's doing it wrong enough to possibly be colorblind. Or just regular blind.

Well... lots of them. Generally speaking, for every attractive match there are several which are relatively unsuitable.

Her cuteness was mostly derived from her whimsical and capricious attitude as well as her light-hearted adventures, not her aesthetic sense. I imagine that was chosen to reflect her inherently chaotic and childish nature. Please do not dress like her.
