♈ AA: Morning; Action at 626 Topper Street

[Aradia is sitting at the dining table, eating food. Her hair is done in two long pigtails. She just really has a lot of hair, and maybe this was not a good idea. But Dave said she should wear her hair up like so! And the drone mom seemed more then happy to tie her hair up for school.

She's munching on some toast, swinging her head side to side a bit in a distracted manner.

Her clothes...are less fortunate. Her socks are mismatched so she's wearing a red sock and a black one. On top of that, she's wearing her Aries shirt along with what looks to be a flower patterned skirt. The flowers are a bunch of gaudy colors. The scrunchies in her hair are bright orange and purple.

She looks terrible, and she doesn't even realize it as she eats her toast and hurries to school. Really, she just wanted to wear the black skirt, but the drone mom insisted on this one.]

♈ AA: Afternoon; Action at School

[Guess who's having a ball at the new school setting? Aradia is. And lunchtime, oh boy! But where should she sit? Does it matter which sitting device she should take?

Perhaps she's sitting by you now, with her little paper lunchbag from home. Perhaps she's walking by you in her terrible array of clothes and hairstyle.

Or maybe she's saying hi to you because you've caught her eye. That is, if her large pigtails haven't hit you in said eye. There's quite a bit of hair on her and pigtails aren't really something she's used to.]

Oh hello! You don't mind if I sit next to you? This is really my first day, and I don't know if there's any specific way of doing this all.

♈ AA: Evening; Phone

School was very interesting! I didn't realize that everyone got together to learn like that. Do older people not attend school? I only saw others around my age and anyone much older seemed to be instructing us instead of learning like us.

I think i will check the book facility for knowledge next time I attend school. Perhaps I can understand more about how the school system works.

[don't worry, Aradia, Terezi has no taste in fashion, either. but at least she has the excuse of being blind. Terezi's got big black boots on with chalk smeared all over them, green knee-socks, an orange skirt, and a pale pink blouse. she's wearing what looks like every single necklace she could find from her drone mother's dresser.

Terezi has no idea how utterly uncool she is. on the school echeladder, she is basically at the very bottom.]

Do I? My drone mom had earnestly refused to let me leave unless I wore this skirt! But she also did my hair for me too as I was told I would look good in pigtails.

[Aww yeah. They are the bestest and coolest two in this place. They cannot be contained.] I think my next class is math? I find that a lot of these subjects don't seem to really prepare you for anything, but I don't seem to have a choice in the matter either.

[ dave can't help but feel some responsibility for the strange fashion disaster that aradia's ended up becoming, though he figures it could be worse. maybe it's supposed to be some sort of ironic statement. yeah he'll go with that interpretation to ease his conscience. ]

Yeah that's fine. There's usually a long and elaborate ritual involved before someone gains the right to sit next to me, but I'll let it slide this time.

Nah this is totally a voluntary decision on my part. I mean, who wouldn't want to hang out all day finger painting and napping? Definitely not me. [ a pause. well he has a good idea why that is the case... but to say or not to say? ] Probably because you're the new girl. There's no other conceivable reason why that would be happening. None at all.

Oh well. I chose the socks and scrunchies myself. My mother unit refuse to let me win in the argument about the skirt. She just really wanted me to look nice today I guess!

In that case she could have chosen something that bore at least a passing relation in color to the rest of your apparel, though that would be difficult considering that the rest of your apparel bears little resemblance to itself.

I thought having a lot of colors would be nice. It wouldn't really be discriminating against the rest of the colors that was in my closet! [Help her. She has no idea what she's doing.] I was thinking of wearing some blues, purples, and yellows next time. I didn't really get to wear any this time.

[Lyn is just...kind of staring bemusedly at Aradia's fashion choices. He doesn't give much of a shit about fashion himself, but he knows enough to recognize when someone's doing it wrong enough to possibly be colorblind. Or just regular blind.

Oh no. I mean eating with everyone else. We didn't have educational centers like this where everyone amassed to learn. These concepts are all new to me.
